Doug Mockett is celebrating its 27th annual design competition, which seeks out innovative ideas in furniture parts, components, accessories and hardware. All ideas will be considered with winners receiving $1000, an engraved achievement trophy and a royalty based on sales.
Entrants need to create a clear write-up, a drawing or a model of their idea by September 4, 2012, and the contest judges will meet and make their decisions in December. There are only first-place awards in an unlimited number; in the past, winners have ranged from one to four.
