Schock GmbH, the granite sink manufacturer, is expanding its distribution network and increasing its production capacity.
“We substantially expanded our market position in the medium-to-high-end sink market thanks to our quality products and a successful marketing push,” said Ralf Boberg, part of the management team at Schock GmbH. “In Germany alone we increased our revenues 30 percent in the past business year, and we believe there is similar potential for development in many of the international markets.”
The company has new distribution partners in a variety of growth markets, including Russia, Turkey, Croatia and China. In addition, Schock’s presence in the American market, where it was previously not represented under its own brand name, is now stronger due to a new cooperative venture. “Our cooperation with regional partners is very important to our growth strategy,” said Sven-Michael Funck, export manager at Schock GmbH. “In our export markets we need to safeguard geographical proximity and professional support to customers in order to be able to grow successfully and sustainably.”
The distribution network now covers more than 70 countries with ongoing efforts to develop new international markets. Schock’s newly built factory in Regen, Germany, provides 20 percent more production capacity for the company, allowing growth to occur.
