The Southern Living 2014 Idea House features Daltile product throughout, from the kitchen countertops to the walls of the laundry room, to floor-to-ceiling features in each of the bathrooms.
The guest bathroom, highlighted in the August print issue of the magazine, uses Daltile’s Color Wave glass tiles in Feather White on the vanity wall and as inspiration for the palette. Daltile’s First Snow marble, installed on the countertop, has a creamy background with light gray veining that is picked up by the tiles. On the floor, 1-in. x 1-in. square Color Wave glass tiles are used to create a rug effect in contrast to the larger marble tile.
Overall almost a dozen different colors and collections were incorporated throughout the house. Architect Ken Pursley and interior designer Suzanne Kasler drew their inspiration for the Bluffton, S.C., home’s design from the low-country surroundings. The home, designed as a haven for guests to entertain and unwind, is situated amid the state’s iconic palms and freshwater creeks.
