American Standard DXV Continues Designer Installations

Published: December 8, 2014

American Standard continued its successful designer collaboration in November with a DXV showroom designed by Masayuki Sono and Ostap Rudakevych, co-principals of the architectural firm, CLOUDS AO.

Their exhibition, entitled Unseen Expression, is a continuation of their studies in the relationship between form and vision. Passersby were engaged by a dynamic optical pattern, which was deployed to visually activate the display while creating a sense of mystery and discovery. The DXV by American Standard fixtures were either revealed or concealed, depending on the vantage point.

The installation, which was located at 15 West 20th St. in New York City, reflects the eclectic styling of the DXV Contemporary movement that is continually evolving in response to the complexity of our changing world. The highlighted DXV products included the Seagram one-piece elongated toilet, whose scaled proportions make an impact in small spaces; the Contemporary floor-mount bathtub faucet with coordinating hand shower; and the Percy towel bar.
