Decocer Jemaa Zellige Tile Collection

Irregularity, reflections and subtle variations make every surface unique and form the starting point for Jemaa, the new collection by Decocer. It is a proposal that reinterprets the language of traditional zellige and brings it into contemporary interiors through color, texture and light.

Zellige finds its expressive strength precisely in what moves away from uniformity with its subtle differences between pieces, chromatic variations, surfaces that react differently to light and an appearance in which the traces of craftsmanship remain visible.

Traditionally associated with highly decorative wall coverings, this ceramic language takes a contemporary turn with Jemaa, preserving its imperfect and vibrant character while transforming it into a contemporary design resource for creating spaces with texture, depth and personality.

Starting from a chromatic universe traditionally associated with zellige, Decocer expands and updates the palette with 10 colors inspired by the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. Azure and oasis (pictured at top) introduce aquatic and botanical tones; Sand, caramel, saffron (pictured below) and coffee bean explore a warmer, mineral and spice -inspired range; linen and pearl bring luminosity and neutrality. Claret and olive complete a color palette designed to be combined in multiple ways and create spaces with very different identities.

Decocer Jemaa Zellige Tile Collection

Jemaa creates surfaces in which tones subtly shift from one piece to another and change with the incidence of light, recovering one of the most recognizable qualities of ceramics rooted in craftsmanship.

The collection is available in two small formats, 5-by-15 cm and 10-by-10 cm, allowing designers to create different rhythms, patterns and compositions. The repetition of small pieces generates continuous surfaces in which joints, color and subtle variations build a distinctive visual texture.

All colors are available in both gloss and matte finishes, expanding the possibilities for combining different effects within the same project. In its gloss version, the surface interacts particularly with light, creating changing reflections that emphasize its depth and subtle variations. The matte finish, meanwhile, offers a calmer, more tactile interpretation of color.
