Twenty-five years after Donna Mondi founded her namesake interior design firm, the nationally recognized practice enters a new era as House of Mondi. More than a name change, the new identity reflects the evolution of the business from a founder-led studio into a multigenerational design firm, with founder + principal Donna Mondi and her daughter, associate principal Alyssa Mondi, increasingly shaping its future together.
Alyssa joined the firm five years ago and has since taken on a growing role in its creative direction and business, including helping lead the continued expansion of its Denver studio. House of Mondi gives the firm a broader identity for this next chapter, as its ambitions increasingly extend beyond residential interiors.
The new name also supports House of Mondi’s growing focus on product development, building on existing collaborations with EnVie Bespoke Furnishings and Material Bespoke Stone + Tile, alongside its global sourcing practice and increasing presence in Denver and the Rocky Mountain region.
“Every great house has its renaissance, and this is ours,” said Donna. “For years I’ve watched Alyssa grow into a designer and a leader I deeply admire. Building this next chapter with my daughter is the proudest work of my career. Now the House of Mondi gives us room to create beyond interiors, together.”
The firm’s focus remains luxury residential design, including new construction, whole-home and historic renovation, and estate homes for clients across the country.
“Stepping into this next chapter alongside my mom means so much,” said Alyssa. “I’ve spent five years learning from her, and she spent 25 building a firm with a real point of view and a legacy I’m proud of. I’m excited to carry that forward, bring my own perspective, grow our presence in Denver and help shape what House of Mondi becomes.”
