SISY has introduced wallcovering collections for bathrooms, among the most intimate spaces in the home. Beyond their practical purpose, they are places where small, everyday rituals unfold — moments of preparation, pause and transition.
For SISY, this makes the bathroom an interesting place to reconsider the role of the wall. Founded by artist and designer Ivonne Hurtado, SISY is an author-led wallcovering brand built around a simple idea: interiors are shaped not only by how they look, but by the relationship we build with the spaces we inhabit.
Rather than treating wallcovering simply as a decorative background, Hurtado uses color, form, rhythm and imagery to create a visual presence that enters into dialogue with the architecture and with everyday experience.
Each SISY design begins with a question, observation, journey or personal experience that Hurtado translates into an original visual composition. The designs are organized into three permanent collections — Release & Heal, Integrate & Evolve, and Express & Shine. — which reflect different moments of human experience rather than decorative styles or trends.
This approach allows the designs to move naturally between different interior contexts. In bathrooms, wallcovering can introduce an unexpected layer of color, scale and visual expression, shifting the wall from a neutral backdrop into an active part of the room.
Examples of SISY designs appropriate for bathroom settings are Aurum, Presencia and Calipso. Aurum brings together organic forms and geometric rhythms in a composition shaped by openness and possibility; Presencia introduces a more grounded visual rhythm, built around balance and a sense of pause; while Calipso explores a more intimate and sensual language through an enveloping composition. Together, they show how the bathroom can move beyond a purely functional setting and become a space with a more individual visual identity.
SISY wallcoverings are produced in a premium matte non-woven material, PVC-free and printed to order. Designs can be adjusted in height for individual projects, while bespoke wallcoverings are also available for residential, hospitality, corporate and commercial interiors.
