Published: June 27, 2026

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House, the design event benefiting the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, announced the location of its 2026 New York Show House, the historic townhouse at 80 W Washington Place in Greenwich Village.

Open to the public for four weeks beginning Sept. 16, this year’s show house will be staged within a remarkable 1839 Georgian red-brick townhouse featuring six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and approximately 8,700 square feet of interior living space, complemented by four landscaped private terraces totaling 1,566 square feet.

Once home to famed composer John Philip Sousa, along with Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott, the 22-f.t-wide residence is listed on the historic register and has been meticulously restored to preserve its architectural heritage. The storied residence, offered at $21 million, is exclusively represented by Melissa Olson of Douglas Elliman.

“We’re thrilled to be back in Greenwich Village this year,” said James Druckman, president of the Board of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. “This neighborhood has a real appreciation for design and architecture, and 80 Washington Place is a perfect example of that. We’re excited to see how the designers bring their ideas to life in such a unique New York home.”

Key features include a private elevator, multiple outdoor living areas, two interior chef’s kitchens, two outdoor kitchens, and a dedicated wellness level with gym and glass-enclosed sauna.

“Over nearly two centuries, 80 W Washington Place has been home to notable figures and thoughtfully cared for by generations of owners,” said Olson. “It’s a residence with a remarkable story, and welcoming the Kips Bay Decorator Show House feels like a natural next chapter, one that honors the home’s legacy while showcasing the extraordinary creativity that defines the design world today.”

Since 1973, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House has showcased remarkable interior design by transforming a luxury Manhattan property into an elegant exhibition of extraordinary designs with fine furnishings, art and technology, which has raised more than $33 million for more than 14,000 New York City children. The show house has since opened additional locations in Palm Beach, Fla., and Dallas, Texas.
