Glass Design has extended its range and reinterprets one of its iconic products with the introduction of a new version of the Aquarama freestanding washbasin designed by Vincenzo Missanelli. This evolution combines material research, color experimentation and rigorous design.
Crafted in Vetrofreddo, an innovative compound of glass pigments and resins, Aquarama fully expresses the potential of a highly versatile material, capable of adapting to any shape and available in a wide range of finishes, both glossy and matte. Here, material becomes a true design language, opening up new expressive possibilities in the bathroom.
For this new release, Aquarama is presented in Pantone’s Color of the Year 11-4201 cloud dancer, an ethereal, light and sophisticated white that conveys a sense of calm and purity, transforming the washbasin into an element capable of interacting with the space in a subtle yet distinctive way.
From a formal perspective, Aquarama stands out for its technical, architectural design. Deep vertical ribbing defines the surface, creating a refined interplay of light and shadow that produces an almost two-tone visual effect, while maintaining a fully monochromatic finish. This play of light enhances the volume while visually lightening its presence within the space.
Designed as a freestanding washbasin with floor drain, Aquarama is available in matte white and black, as well as in metallic finishes such as mat gold, mat dark inox and mat bronze, all paired with matching waste fittings. The new cloud dancer finish now joins the range, enriching the collection with a contemporary and versatile hue conceived for elegant, timeless bathroom settings.
