Iconic heritage brand Tillett Textiles is now a part of the F. Schumacher & Co. family, and the collection is available through schumacher.com, marking the first time in the brand’s history that SKUs will be in stock and readily available. Tillett has a rich history, its patterns were beloved by American tastemakers and designers such as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Bunny Mellon, Sister Parish and Albert Hadley.
Tillett Textiles was founded in New York City in the 1940s by Leslie and d.d. Tillett. F. Schumacher & Co acquired the brand and is committed to preserving its vast archive and commitment to artisanal hand screen-printing techniques. Several time-honored patterns are available.

Strawberry Fields was a favorite of Albert Hadley; he used the pattern on a much larger scale.
Jackie’s Daisy is a treasure from the Tillett archive, named for Jacqueline Kennedy, who worked with Sister Parish and Tillett to create it for her White House primary bedroom. This print showcases intricate, proprietary multistep techniques pioneered by the Tilletts: screen-printed daisies, followed by a drag-box strie, layered tonal stripes and finished with a final pass of printed blooms.
Geranium Fabric is a loose painterly floral and beloved Tillett classic.
Butterflies was a favorite of horticulturist and philanthropist Bunny Mellon, who used it in several of her storied homes, including the iconic Oak Spring estate. She also used it in her Antigua home, which was ultimately purchased and restored by Tory Burch. In honoring Mellon’s original vision, Burch collaborated with Tillett to reintroduce Butterflies in the very same room, preserving the spirit and charm of the original room design.
Chrysanthemum is known to be Tillett’s most iconic pattern. Also a favorite of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis who used this exuberant floral in her family’s summer home in Hyannis Port.
Giverny is inspired by Claude Monet’s legendary garden in France, Giverny evokes the spirit of impressionist landscapes with a loose, painterly rhythm.
Matisse is inspired by the loose, gestural spirit of works by painter Henri Matisse. The modern, medium-scale botanical exudes movement and energy through expressive linework. It is screen printed by hand on a multipurpose linen ground.
Peony is a beloved Tillett classic, it captures the graceful brushwork of d.d. Tillett’s original artwork. Screen printed by hand on versatile midweight linen, this multicolor floral is lively, expressive and endlessly usable.
