Australian architectural hardware innovator Bankston has added four new designs to its The Streaks collection created in collaboration with the Sydney-based and internationally renowned YSG Studio. Complementing the existing range’s signature striped timber bands and playful experiments with scale, these new additions enhance its versatility across a variety of applications.
Enhancing the collection’s cohesive sculptural identity across connecting spaces, the additions include two sliding door additions plus two DDA-compliant solutions — the Return Lever and the Accessibility Privacy Turn.
Melding intrepid design with enduring functionality, these new pieces feature solid expressions of naturally colored timber enriched by a niche patinated bronze selection characterized by a dark, mercurial finish that alchemises over time to golden glows across touch points. They are designed to be mixed and matched with the boldly energetic original collection.

Straight Streaker — Return Lever on Round Rose
This universal lever plays on the term ‘straight shooter’ given its horizontal plane, with the addition of a return feature enhancing its grip functionality amongst people with disabilities. Smooth and warm upon contact, its subtle angled profile elevates every door it adorns. Now available in light band, dark band and colour band, plus the original patinated bronze finish, it is suitable for both internal and external use. This product is sold as a pair and comes with face-fixed wood screws and tie bolts. All fixings are concealed.
Accessibility Privacy Turn
Offering a secure solution for interior door locking, the turn is cast from solid bronze and is available with roses in three timber finishes. Seamlessly pairing with the DDA-compliant Straight Streaker Return Lever, it comes with face-fixed wood screws and tie bolts. All fixings are concealed.
Flash Turn Star Sliding Door Privacy Turn Kit
With its bold star-like expression, this sliding door privacy function captures a moment in time. Cast in solid bronze, it is set within three different circular timber enclosures — rich American walnut or American white ash timber for classic appeal, plus the vibrant tangerine shade of African padauk for a more adventurous statement. The flash comes with a matching patinated bronze edge pull, latch, faceplate and striker, plus concealed fixings and wood screws for the latch and edge pull.
Edge Pull
Sitting flush against the edge of a sliding door, the Edge Pull enables easy opening when the door is fully recessed within a cavity. Featuring a pairing of triangular shapes, the single recessed triangle encourages the fingers to pull. A patinated bronze finish grants this durable fixture a rich hue. The Edge Pull is included in the Flash Sliding Door Privacy Turn Kit and is also sold separately. This product comes with a dust box and face-fixed wood screws.
