ASKO Triumphs at iF Design Award 2026

Published: March 17, 2026

ASKO, the global pioneer in premium Scandinavian appliances, has announced its latest success achieved at the prestigious iF Design Award 2026. In a display of design excellence, the international jury honored a diverse range of ASKO innovations: the Celsius Elements ovens, the Series 5 induction hobs with integrated extraction and the DW60 Style dishwasher series.

For more than 70 years, the iF Design Award has been recognized as a global arbiter of exceptional design quality and a symbol of outstanding design achievement. To be awarded is a recognition from an independent jury of 129 international leading design and sustainability experts who evaluate every project through a rigorous, transparent process. With more than 10,000 submissions from 68 countries in 93 categories, the iF Design Award is one of the world’s most coveted competitions for creative excellence.

This year, ASKO’s winning products were selected from thousands of entries by a panel of international experts, praised for their functional clarity, enduring craftsmanship, timeless minimalism and sustainable responsibility.

ASKO Celsius Elements ovens take home cooking to a new level with professional-grade performance, elegant Scandinavian design and a complete range of cooking features, with full steam and a powerful microwave integrated. Calibrated to achieve up to 1-degree accuracy, they allow home chefs to measure the precise core temperature of their food, ensuring flawless results every time.

“We are especially proud of how this oven combines professional-level performance with everyday practicality: something that has always been central to our design philosophy,” said Vincent Hofstee, head of ASKO design. “One of the main challenges was making the wide range of functions easy and intuitive to use. We addressed this with a state-of-the-art interface that lets you set a program in just a few steps for daily cooking.

“At the same time, it offers more advanced options for those who want greater control and flexibility. The design reflects a high-end aesthetic. The pearl-effect glass remains distinctive through our level of detailing and refinement. It is minimalist, yet rich in subtle details.”

The DW60 Style is ASKO’s flagship dishwasher series, engineered for seamless integration even with heavy, handless stone fronts. It offers a capacity of 17 EU place settings across four basket levels, operating at 37-38 dB(A).

“ASKO DW60 Style is our expression of soft minimalism: A thin, elegant door that supports heavy stone panels for seamless kitchen integration and a clean simplified user interface with logical navigation,” said Lisa Lindberg, senior industrial designer at ASKO. “The spacious interior with tight mesh allows great flexibility for everyday life.

“We believe the Scandinavian timeless design ensures to remain relevant and beautiful for many years. In combination with a high proportion of stainless steel, it becomes naturally more sustainable due to its longevity and reduced need for replacement.”

ASKO Series 5 induction hobs with integrated extraction can be installed on the countertop or flush. They offer recirculation or exhaust mode with an adjustable post-cooking timer to eliminate lingering odours, ensuring a clean, modern cooking experience that blends seamlessly into any kitchen style.

“In the ASKO Series 5 hobs, we pursued a distinctly Scandinavian balance of clarity and restraint,” said Björn Flinterhoff, industrial designer at ASKO. “The compact user interface allowed us to open up the cooking surface, distributing the induction coils generously for greater freedom in use. We put particular care into refining the matte surface around the UI to ensure crisp readability without disturbing the calm overall aesthetic.”

Rooted in the rugged landscapes of Scandinavia, ASKO’s design philosophy has always remained constant: design must serve a purpose. Reflecting on this triple success, ASKO’s design team highlights that the greatest challenge remains integrating high-end technology without compromising on aesthetic simplicity.

These award-winning products will be showcased at upcoming international design exhibitions, including EuroCucina and Brera Design Week in Milan.
