Ceramic artist Felicia Hwang, founder of the Rhode Island–based studio Hwang Bishop, introduces a Matte Glaze Palette that absorbs rather than reflects light, heightening the collection’s sculptural relief and shadow play.
Long celebrated for richly saturated glazes, Hwang expands the studio’s vision with a focus on organic color and surface. Guided by natural phenomena — mineral deposits, glacial hues, botanical greens and the softened light of dusk — the new matte finishes deepen profile and relief. The palette includes meadow moss, Arctic sky, midnight, crowberry, lava glow, golden hour, glacial blue, ash and kaffi. Debuting with Bloom and now available across the studio’s designs, the palette establishes a cohesive language of color and texture.
