Stone Forest Wins Award for Lithic Pedestal Sink

Published: December 8, 2025

Stone Forest announced that its Lithic Pedestal Sink was recognized as a winner of the 2025 Product Innovation Awards (PIAs) published by Architectural Products.

The PIAs celebrate outstanding innovation in architectural products, systems and materials. Each entry is reviewed by an esteemed panel of practicing architects. Winners of the 15th-annual program will be profiled in the November/December issue of Architectural Products.

“We’re honored to have our work recognized by leaders in the industry who understand and value the craftsmanship and intention behind each of our hand-carved, natural stone pieces,” said Michael Zimber, founder of Stone Forest.

The Lithic Pedestal Sink is hand-carved from blocks of andesite, a volcanic stone related to basalt and rhyolite. This sensuous pedestal sink features “scalloped” facets that are highlighted by its polished finish. Occasional veining is part of the natural stone, bringing additional depth to the product.
