Inspired by the raw beauty of nature and the fluidity of musical composition, Noël & Marquet introduces Calando as part of The Essence of Rhythm, a stunning new collection of 3D wall panels. Exploring sequential patterns, organic textures and shapes inspired by domestic landscapes, the line reflects the brand’s deep connection to its Belgian heritage.
In music, Calando refers to the simultaneous and gradual decrease of tempo and volume within a composition. The organic motif of the wall panel reveals a rhythmic sequential pattern of varying intensity, giving the design element a sense of repetition and regularity. The gentle undulations also evoke ripples forming on a liquid surface or fabric caught in a soft breeze. This modern 3D panel brings a delicate texture to walls and ceilings, adding soft, natural contours and a rounded, ergonomic appearance to interiors. Thanks to the cutting guides on the back of the panel, the wave-like pattern can also be shifted and rearranged, greatly expanding decorative possibilities.
Calando is also available in the Flex version, which, thanks to its flexibility, adapts to rounded surfaces such as curved walls, counters or columns. It lends them a strong and distinctive decorative character while maintaining soft and natural contours that enhance visual ergonomics and the dynamic qualities of spaces.
Designed to transform walls, ceilings, and even furniture into architectural elements, the new pieces introduced by Noël & Marquet bring fresh perspectives and new possibilities to interior design.
Designed and manufactured in Belgium, Calando is a creation of Belgian product designer Bertrand Lejoly. Having collaborated with visionaries such as Matteo Thun and Vincent Van Duysen, Lejoly brings a refined sensibility to design, where each element is thoughtfully connected to its architectural environment.
