Waterworks Flatiron Showroom Expansion

Published: June 17, 2025

Waterworks has completed significant renovations and expansion to its Flatiron Showroom in NYC. The transformed showroom features an additional floor and elevated displays, reaffirming Waterworks commitment to an unparalleled client experience.

The Flatiron showroom, housed in an early 1900s historic building since 2006, now spans three floors and 7,800 square feet.

Connecting the two main levels is a striking, airy staircase featuring a dynamic mural by renowned artist Christoph Niemann, best known for his work on covers of The New Yorker and The New York Times Magazine. Crafted entirely from Waterworks tile, Niemann’s design, “Rainy Day in NYC,” celebrates Manhattan’s ability to exude beauty and romance in any weather.

At the base of the stunning installation trots a tiny dog—recognizable to those in the know as Peaches, the beloved dachshund of Waterworks CEO and creative director Peter Sallick.

“We envisioned the mural as a moment of artful surprise and a celebration of New York,” said Sallick. “Christoph Neimann became an irresistible choice. His deep connection to New York through his history of New Yorker covers, personal passion for tile, and unmistakably whimsical style made him the perfect fit. The result is a captivating visual experience that I know will resonate with our clients.”
