Winners of 2025 ICFF Awards Announced

For its 2025 edition, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) bestowed multiple awards upon exhibitors, including the Editors Awards, Best of Students, Best of Schools and Best of Launch Pad. Comedian, writer and actor Dan Mahboubian Rosen emceed the presentation ceremony, which took place on the show floor. 

ICFF Editors Awards

The ICFF Editors Awards are one of the design industry’s premier accolades. They are decided by invited members of the design media, who tour the fair floor and deliberate to determine the top designs in 12 categories. They also include a special honor for sustainable design.

Wanted Awards: Best of Students and Best of Schools

The 2025 Best of Schools and Students awards (pictured above) were presented with Haworth.

  • Best of Students Winner: Pivota Swivel Chair by Zhiwei Xie, Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY
  • Best of Schools Winner: Icon Design + RIT, Rochester Institute of Technology

Wanted Awards: Best of Launch Pad

The Wanted Launch Pad at ICFF is the premier international platform for emerging designers to showcase new concepts and prototypes of furniture, home accessories and lighting. The Best of Launch Pad award is given to one winner in the Furniture/Home Accessories category and one in the Lighting category. Winners were selected by a jury of renowned industry professionals during the Emerging Designers Showcase hosted by Amy Devers, host of the Clever podcast. The awards were presented by media partner Dwell and sponsored by American Standard.

  • Lighting: Riccardo Toldo
  • Honorable Mention for Storytelling: Imjistudio

Partner: Be Original Americas

Be Original Americas announced the second Next Generation of Originality Award winners, which was given to two students/emerging designers showing the most original and innovative works in design. Criteria included sustainability, original thought and proficient execution. 

Winners received a one-year membership to Be Original Americas and an award designed and produced by Cory Grosser & Associates.

Partner: NKBA Manhattan

The NKBA Manhattan NYC Chapter produced the Inspire Awards sponsored by Aspire Design and Home. NKBA Manhattan membership chair Diana Mosher and a panel of esteemed judges explored the ICFF show floor to highlight the most innovative and exciting exhibitors at the fair.

Partner: The Female Design Council

The Female Design Council announced the winners of the 2025 FDC Awards at ICFF. Honoring innovation across four distinct categories, these awards celebrate outstanding work by female-founded, female co-founded and female-led design studios exhibiting at the fair — shining a light on the women redefining the future of design. Each recipient will receive a free membership to the Female Design Council. The awards were chosen in-person on the floor by an esteemed all-female jury:

  • Lora Appleton, founder of the Female Design Council
  • Kelsey Keith, creative director of MillerKnoll
  • Kristina O’Neal, founding partner of AvroKO
  • Neffi Walker, founder of The Black Home

This year’s winners exemplify the creativity, leadership and impact driving women-led design forward.

  • Best in Lighting: Myrto Grigori of Noiro Studio
  • Best in Flooring: Alex DelBello of Allybello
  • Best in Furniture: Kim Markel
  • Best in Show: Stephanie Forsythe, cofounder of Molo
