FreePower’s origin story began in 2017 when Jake Slatnik was frustrated by traditional wireless charging solutions and finding himself waking up with a dead phone several times a week because of misalignment with those limited charging ‘hotspots’ on traditional pucks. He wanted to transform entire surfaces into charging zones.
The concept matured over years of research, “Shark Tank” appearances and collaborations with major names. By 2024, FreePower had shifted focus to where it all began–creating charging-ready surfaces for homes.

Collaborations with industry giants such as James Martin Vanity and Cosentino have even incorporated FreePower directly into vanities, blending design and technology effortlessly. During KBIS 2025, FreePower showcased these developments to outstanding acclaim.
