Through the years, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York has highlighted the remarkable work of more than 800 industry visionaries including a who’s who of the world’s most respected designers. The book will be celebrated at the organization’s annual President’s Dinner on Thursday, April 3, which will honor landscape architect Ed Hollander with the Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as Schumacher, a premier industry resource since 1889.
Originally opening to the public in 1973, the Show House has raised more than $30 million for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, touching the lives of more than 11,000 New York City children. The Show House is also held annually in Palm Beach, Fla., and Dallas.
“For 50 years, our community has continued to come together and create timeless and innovative designs while also raising funds and awareness for the children at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club,” said James Druckman, president of the Board of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. “We’re honored to continue this work and experience the passion and soul each designer brings to the table”.
