ASID’s New York Metro’s Design Week 2010 is kicking off September 21 with presentations, seminars, panels and hands-on workshops to inform and equip designers with the tools for reshaping and reinvigorating their businesses.
The event’s “Imagine University” features a full-day of presentations, after which ASID members will be “Taking It to the Streets” for a four-day walk to visit downtown industry partners who will present continued programming on-site.
Imagine University’s offerings will include a workshop about accounting and design software; information on when outsourcing may be better than staffing in house; how to cut through the sea of technology products; and where print, mobile, internet and broadcast fit into your marketing picture. Also if you’re feeling uncertain about how to use green materials in your designs, “The Green Materials Maze” workshop will discuss the labyrinth of codes, regulations and greenish over-growth.
