October is Kitchen & Bath Month and the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) is marking the occasion by helping consumers enhance the value of their homes with free downloadable NKBA kitchen and bath planners and by donating products to the Storehouse of World Vision.
The planners, downloadable here, are for consumers looking to update their homes. The planners guide homeowners through kitchen and bath remodels by clarifying the process, explaining required decisions and offering industry knowledge. The brochures can help homeowners decide on personal style, set a budget range, find a professional and finalize choices.
“During Kitchen & Bath Month, the NKBA and its members will continue to aid consumers by offering our free NKBA Kitchen and Bath Planners for those interested in increasing the value of their homes with kitchen and bath remodels,” said Don Sciolaro, chief executive officer of the NKBA. “In addition, we are honored to continue our longstanding relationship with World Vision by challenging our members to provide products such as appliances, fixtures, lighting and surfacing materials for future installation in facilities assisting those less fortunate.”
The Storehouse of World Vision aims to help Americans suffering from disaster, personal crisis or economic hardship by providing families with supplies such as clothing, personal care items and building materials. The NKBA has set a goal to collect 1,000 or more donations in the month of October from its nearly 40,000 kitchen and bath industry members.
“In these challenging economic times, the need to build and remodel support facilities is essential, and a significant part of improving the facilities involves the need for kitchen and bath product donations,” said Efrain Perez, corporate relations director of the Storehouse of World Vision. “With the help of the NKBA and the donated products from members, we will be able to help our partner agencies update many of those facilities and further support those in need. We are grateful for our partnership with the NKBA, which allows us to continue our mission of fighting poverty and injustice.”
